Pourtant, des \u00e9tudes men\u00e9es par des agences europ\u00e9ennes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re estiment que<g id=\"gid_0\"> jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 20 \u00e0 25 % des accidents impliquant des v\u00e9hicules lourds sont li\u00e9s \u00e0 des cargaisons mal arrim\u00e9es<\/g>. Le d\u00e9placement des charges peut entra\u00eener de graves dommages, des blessures ou des d\u00e9c\u00e8s, ainsi que des amendes co\u00fbteuses et une perte de r\u00e9putation pour les entreprises.  <\/p>\n\n<p>En vertu de la l\u00e9gislation europ\u00e9enne, le conducteur, l&rsquo;exp\u00e9diteur et le transporteur sont tous responsables de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;arrimage des charges. Ces forces peuvent atteindre jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 <strong>0,8 g vers l&rsquo;avant<\/strong>, <strong>0,5 g sur les c\u00f4t\u00e9s<\/strong> et <strong>0,5 g vers l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re<\/strong>, selon la situation. Si le frottement entre la charge et la surface de chargement est trop faible, la charge peut glisser malgr\u00e9 les sangles d&rsquo;arrimage.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Le frottement est exprim\u00e9 par un coefficient (\u00b5) et d\u00e9termine le degr\u00e9 de r\u00e9sistance entre deux surfaces. Selon les directives europ\u00e9ennes largement reconnues (par exemple, VDI 2700), un <strong>coefficient de frottement minimal de 0,6 \u00b5<\/strong> est souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme n\u00e9cessaire pour un transport s\u00fbr.
